Tasty Protein Cutlet

Soya is also called as meal maker or soy meat. They are available as chunks, flakes, nuggets, grains, and strips and soya flour. Soya chunks have protein content Soya chunks is a versatile substance and can be made as a substitute to meat and poultry products and vegetarians can add it with other vegetables and prepare excellent healthy dishes. Soya Chunks contain 54.2 grams of protein, which exceeds the amount of protein found in meats, eggs, milk and wheat. Soy protein contains all the amino acids needed by the body, and is an excellent replacement for meat-based proteins.So lets start cooking.

Ingredients
1.Soya chunks minced – 1 cup (Boil soya chunks in water with salt till soft. Drain/Squeeze out the water and add the soya in a mixer and mince.)
2.Potato – 1cup (boiled and mashed)
3.Big Onions – 1 chopped
4.Green chillies – 3 chopped
5.Curry leaves –  10- 20 leaves
6.Ginger- garlic paste – 2 tsp
7.Garam Masala- ¼ tsp
8.Egg – 1
9.Bread crumbs- 1 cup
10.Chilli powder – ½ tsp
11.Salt – To taste

Preparation
1.Heat oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions , green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, curry leaves. Saute well .
2.Add chilli powder and garam masala and salt. Saute well till raw smell goes.
3.Add the minced soya and mashed potato to the above mixture and mix well. Remove from stove.
4.Now shape the above mixture into your desired shapes and dip it into the egg that is beaten and then coat it with bread crumbs and keep aside.
5.Take a pan add oil desired to deep fry the cutlets . Heat the oil and add the cutlets and fry it till golden brown.
6.Serve with Ketchup.
7.Garnish with coriander leaves.

Note  :  Egg can be substituted with Corn flour mixture .
